Inner City Sports Competitions 2003
The
USAID and KRC have organised a couple of sports competitions in
the Grants Pen/Shortwood/Barbican inner city area. Here are photos
from each of the competitions:

City
on the Hill Youth Team visit July 2003
Youth
team members of City On The Hill in Boulder, Colorado visited
our church in July 2003 and awesomely blessed us. They worked
on various areas of the property, doing painting and other manual
labour. They were worked with such focus and diligence, completing
the inner sanctuary in just a couple of hours, Praise the Lord!!
A vacation bible school was also being conducted when they arrived,
and the team members did an excellent job in assisting the teaching
teams for the various age groups. Many young lives were impacted
in this bible school. They also joined us for a time of ministry
in the streets, where we encountered some serious spiritual warfare,
but God was glorified and of course no weapon formed could prosper
against us. They also had the opportunity to minister in skits
and drama in streets, at school in the area, and at the church's
friday night community youth activity. Here's a picture of the

New
Years Session 2002/3
Many
members of our church and the community were present at a New
Years Eve Service which finished at 12:30am. Prayers were offered
up for the Nation and the community. To the Glory of God, four
persons gave their lives to the Lord. Hallelujah!! And for those
of you who are familiar, we started the New Year with "Ten
Lovely Hallelujahs!".
After
the service some of the members of the church and community stayed
behind and played games till morning.

Roof
Upgrade 2002
God
enormously blessed us recently with a visit from three young men,
on fire for God. Paul, Greg, and Matthew hail from Californa,
raised finances for and lead the construction on a section of
the roof of our church. Its just awesome how God used these three
20 year olds to bless and encourage us!! Praise God!! He has done
GREAT things!! Here is a picture of them below:
